At the moment, our heat is extreme,
But it offers up chances, it seems,
For today at the store,
Bought a thing or two more,
And made sure I stocked up on ice cream.
I also wote about our heat wave yesterday.
And the day before.

is it getting any better?

Few degrees. I heard Tuesday it gets cooler but I’m not sure about rain. It’s not so much me but the cats. (And I’m only allowed one ice cream per day!)

Mr Misky seems to cope well with Little Jude’s Milk Lollies. It’s sure not cooling down here. It’s 35.6° in the shade. How do you keep the chooks cool?

they all died, unfortunately, a few months back. The cats don’t like it but respond with lethargy. They mostly canb’t even be bothered to antagonise each other!

😳 Died? How?

Just got ill. Boudicca went, I nursed her for a day. Then Cate, the last one, died with no notice, less than a week later. I went out after breakfast and just found her on the lawn. When chickens go, it is quick.

Sorry to hear that. Will you get a couple more?

We’ve just had a huge thunderstorm, that came and went in about 20 mins – it’s still raining now, but softly… the garden is looking happily thirst-quenched again 🙂

We had that, to end the last one. Nothing since.
