inspired by Fandango’s One Word Challenge (FOWC) of 12 August 2022, languish.
Playing out like a poor West-End farce,
All this hot air, with shelter so sparse,
It’s a worn out old joke,
That the British can’t cope,
I shall spend the day sat on my arse.

I feel for you. It’s hot here in Germany, too. I don’t mind the heat that much – it’s the lack of rain that bothers me.

It’s not so bad, I don’t mind the heat either. The cats struggle. A few weeks ago I had visions of the field of wheat next door catching fire, but it has now been harvested so there is little combustible.
I have enjoyed some happy times cycling in Germany.

My cat has just explained to me what to do with a dead mouse (he doesn’t trust me with living ones anymore) but I think that’s most of the activity I will get out of him today.

Ours are old now. I think the mice outrun them 🤣

Welcome to my world, and I just love it 😊

Aus would always have been too hot. I’d sooner we just had the kind of heat that slows you down one month rather than six. I bet Aus burns lots of carbon on aircon.

I’d assume so. We don’t use ours much. Too expensive

I believe we are in for a drop, too. But I really don’t mind sitting around in my undies. Cats don’t like it though.
