inspired by Fandango’s One Word Challenge (FOWC) of 27 August 2021, magnet.
A number-cruncher from Lahore,
Met her handsome young beau from Mysore,
His attraction magnetic,
Plus her skills arithmetic,
Meant of children, they had 2.4.
For a long time, the average number of children produced by couples in the UK was 2.4. It became a famous number, there was even a sitcom here called 2.4 Children. I’ve no idea what it is now, or what it is anywhwhere else.
I suppose zero is too big an ask?

I feel for the 0.4. How does he/she survives? 😛

I know, it must leave them feeling so imcomplete – as though they’re not an integral part of the family 🤣

Haha! The better term would be 2-3 kids per family. That way the kids would be whole. 😛
