Happy Birthday

My wife did another card. This time, for a sister she hardly has any contact with. Took her all day – go figure!

Divorced, grown/flown daughter. In life, I designed IT systems, taking a career break as a bicycle mechanic, until interrupted by a stroke in 2016, aged 48. As I convalesced, I combined the development of health-related apps with voluntary work, and began writing. After a stint working again in IT, I now write full-time, and use my blog space to let my hair down.

    • I keep comparing these cards to handmade cards I might have bought from London’s top shops, and these are every bit as good. I can’t help wondering whether her sister will appreciate the time that has gone into it – apparently complicated to make.

    • You will understand this. Apparently she had to stamp the paper, then precisely cut the middle out, stick it onto some backing card, then put it all back together again. and somewhere in amongst that, there was watercolour painting. Sheesh, I am tired already!
