A breakfast treat so delicious ant tasty,
Layer and layer of patisserie pastry.
I’ve been waiting, impatient, for this day all week,
And now it’s arrived – my Saturday treat!
Just popped into the oven, will be done in a trice,
Will take my first bite, then in paradise,
That rich, smooth, dark chocolate, layered inside,
As intomy mouth it is destined to slide.
The oven goes “ping”, my breakfast is done,
Must leave them alone now and let them get cool,
But five minutes is about all I can wait,
As I transfer the pains chocolats onto my plate.
Now I want one!
