A gardener who hailed from Montrose,
Found that greenfly infested his rose,
Saw the poor bush was riddled,
So despairing, he piddled,
And won first prize in several shows.
Very late today. Been backing up my computer and only just got online.
And please, if you take this as gardening advice… just be careful the neighbours don’t see you!

My grandfather also did this on his rhubarb.

I used to do it on the edge of the garden to ward off badgers. Didn’t work! After dark, mind!
