inspired by Fandango’s One Word Challenge (FOWC) of 7 April 2022, temperature.
Called my wife’s mum a shrivelled-up prune,
Far as missus concerned, ’twas High Noon,
Well, my words, they were costly,
Turned the atmosphere frosty,
And the last time she spoke was last June.

Oh, the price we pay when we play with words! 😂

I should have said, my MIL is lovely. Just a tiny bit batty, though 🙂

I’ve always found ‘batty’ endearing.

Last time she spoke was last June? Depending on the wife that could be a win win situation.

I’m gobsmacked how many people are saying that!
So when I don’t speak for a week, that’s not all that bad, then?
