I got an answerphone yesterday telling me that the queue was at least an hour long because of Covid!

Yes, it’s lazy. When you contact any government agensies, like the DWP. you’ll frequently be holding for an hour. I think that’s shameful.

So many calls have nobody on the end these days or worse a salesman or woman you can’t understand selling something you never wanted. So, bloody infuriating! Good one, Pete.

Nice one! This is the same BS that I have experienced. Once a salesman kept calling and one time I was so fed up and bored I answered and put the phone on speaker. He gave me his pitch and at the end is politely asked for clarification on the beginning. He then repeated the same. I asked a few more questions for the same. Then I told him that I would feel more comfortable if I spoke to his supervisor before making a purchase. I then asked his supervisor the same questions. He answered them and I said could you please take me off the calling list. You have been wasting my time for weeks now. How do you like it? Well I got cussed out and hung up on. I had the last laugh after that one. Oh yeah, they never called back after that either.
