inspired by Fandango’s One Word Challenge (FOWC) of 18 January 2021, nourish.
Last year, and my wife had a hunch,
She’d plant out some strawb’ries to munch,
She tended and nourished,
Her strawberries flourished,
‘Til the slugs came and ate them for lunch

I’ve lost count of how much fruit we lost to “beasts” over the years. Last year we lost many raspberries to the birds.
