On Thursday, he’s ill. By Sunday, he’s well.
A remarkable turn of events,
You’re bound to be all right,
Your wisdom and foresight,
To elect such a tough president!
for Fandango’s One Word Challenge (FOWC) of 7 October, 2020, dumbfounded.

You are right ! This guy has no education, no limit. He is rude ! Difficult for our countries with history, tradition, and know how to live…

The thing I find hard to grasp is that he was elected. So he must speak for a substantial number of Americans. And I think we see a very tainted view on here because all the Americans that we meet are intelligent people. But there must be others…

We are at the limit of the democracy. Democracy let non democratic person take the power. I don’t know how to avoid it !
Americans we meet are opened to the rest of the world. Americans voting for Trump doesn’t want to know other persons exist outside of USA. Possibly…

Democracy let non democratic person take the power -> Democracy lets non democratic people take power. So, almost. I would not know how to say in French, either, I must look it up.
On your point, I fully agree.

He lost the popular vote by almost 3 million and his pal Vladimir, along with Julian Assange (Wikileaks), helped him immensely by spreading disinformation and creating divisiveness. Putin is at it again in a big way in 2020. If you look at the polls, and if all votes are counted in a fair election, Trump will be a one-term president. But I have my doubts about all votes being counted and the election being fair. And if that happens, the U.S. will be thrown into a state of chaos.

I think we’re done with fair elections. There will always be a Putin. In fact, there always have been, it’s just that the internet has given them the means to be influential. It puts the responsibility on voters to decide what they trust. I think that is everywhere.

You’re probably right. No doubt Putin tried to influence the BREXIT vote.

My theory is that Trump has heart disease, which is another explanation for the low blood oxygen levels. These low levels in turn can lead to vascular dementia (the issue that killed my father — know it well), which could explain his erratic behavior. His camp feels that using Covid as a cover is less risky in terms of the election than admitting that he is seriously ill.
