A hapless old codger called Phil,
Did a parachute jump just for thrills,
His friend dared to hope, when,
His chute failed to open,
But he landed incredibly still.

Haha!! I’m just noticing in the last line of my limerick I wrote “Phil” when I meant to write “Pete”! People must be scratching their heads! 🤦🏼♀️ Sure has a different meaning to it and rhymes a hell of a lot better, too! Oy!
