When my last sixteen weigh-ins I’d missed,
From cream cakes I must pronto desist,
But just last week, in town,
Saw them there, golden brown,
And I’m sorry I couldn’t resist.

Dutch word for yeast is gist. I don’t know but that kinda made sense. I can see a loose parallel.
