We celebrated Mrs Bump’s birthday today with lunch at a local eaterie, the New Forest Lavender Farm. It wasn’t as cloudlessly sunny as we’d have liked – in fact we debated whether to go at all – but it stayed dry and warm for us and we enjoyed an excellent meal.
And see if you can spot my treat! Yes, half of that meal was mine (including both meat and dairy!), which means bread and water for supper. Oh no! No bread allowed either.

Happiest birthday to Mrs Bump. π
What a lovely place for a treat though, must have been enjoyable with all the fragrance from the flowers.

Glad it as a good day, B. Are you watching Glastonbury?

I saw it was on but n, there is a Bond movie on in the background. I’m being a dutiful nephew and am writing my auntie in Australia.

Good for you. We have to look after our old aunties. I FBook messenger mine (lives north of Seattle) regularly. She gets so excited youβd think we hadnβt chatted for years. Glasto is good this year. Noel Gallagher is on right now.

Oh yes I just turned over – he’s singing an old Oasis tune otherwise I would never have recognised him. They were funny, the Dallagher brothers. For all they couldn’t stand each other, it was only really when they performed together that magic happened.

y he’s doing all the old Oasis ones now. That looks like a greatr singalong. It’s spooky when you know all the words, but you never realised you did!

I never went to the festival but I used to love going over to the town of Glastonbury itself. Used to love strolling up to the Tor.
You can imagine the place attracts all sorts of hippies. Mrs B’s mum lives in Torquay and Totnes is the same over there.

Do you get coverage of Glastonbury there Michele? You must do, surely? Biggest music festival in the UK.

Where would it live stream? Iβve dropped cable now since January

It is showing on the main BBC channels here on live tv, but I found this:

Shame for you they had Macca on last night.

yes, it’s lovely to go there and while my birthday is in midwinter, Mrs B’s always has good weather; we always get to go someplace outside.

Yeah my sugar was a bit high last night but I took a liottle extra insulin and had a good (small!) supper, it was fine this morning.
I suppose the difference now is that I know I’ve had a treat, and can take account of it.
