The new movie came on, hyped galore,
But to tell you the truth, it was poor,
For the grandstand finale,
The car chase through Death Valley,
We’d all gone to the wine bar next door.

I can’t remember when we last went to the cinema. I think it was the King’s Speech. Pity that I missed the latest Bond movie though. I like Bond movies. Just wasn’t ready to risk Covid in a crowded theatre.

Downton Abbey. I popped into Salisbury for the matinee. Movie was disappointing. Never bothered with the sequel.

I’ve yet to convince Mr Misky to go with me. I just can’t bring myself to go to the cinema alone. Silly, I know, but that’s that. 😂

Cinemas are a funny thing, where you almost feel you have to go there as a couple. I always felt that, too. But I could get over it, if the movie was a sufficient draw. I remember seing Cocoon on my own, must’ve been about 16.

When you’re 16, life is all about breaking with convention (and quite rightly, too). But when you’re old enough for a free bus pass, convention is a comfort. Hopefully, I can convince Mr M to accompany me. I want to see that movie!

I get it Misky. We were masks into the cinema and only took them off to munch on popcorn

Michele Marsh and Rugby843 both said it was good. I’m kinda bearing the old movie in mind and keeping clear! Too much testosterone for me.
