Bathtime

On our fish tank, the cat slept all day,
She would lie content, dreaming of prey,
But it’s cover was frail,
And the cat was derailed,
When her weight caused the thing to give way.

True story. One of my charity clients keeps tropical fish. They live in a tank which, in the UK climate, needs to be heated.

This guy also has a cat. Like most cats, she is adept at finding nooks and crannies which make her life more comfortable. She discovered the heating element in the fish tank, decided that the warmth provided an ideal environment, and promptly took a nap on the top of the tank.

Unfortunately, but also in common with most cats, her engineering skills are somewhat lacking, and she did not foresee what would happen when, with her fast asleep on top, the cover for the tank decided to give up.

Let’s just say there were towels and a hair dryer.

  1. Cats and fishes both move fast,so usually, they just get out of each other’s way as quickly as they can. Unless
the cat feels like he has them where he wants them. lol
