inspired by Fandango’s One Word Challenge (FOWC) of 17 February 2022, malleable.
While preparing my schoolday packed lunch,
My mum asked what I’d fancy to munch,
I responded “I’m easy”,
She made sandwiches cheesy,
But at five, Stilton packs a mean punch.

I think Iām addicted to Perl Las.

ugh, no thanks. Anything blue, you can keep it. I have Wensleydale coming in the grocery order.

I tried Stilton in England. I think of it as the blue cheese for ppl who don’t like blue cheese (me). It wasn’t bad!! But yes, at 5… I don’t think I would have coped. š

I love cheese but it’s quite intensive to produce, If you think about it, it is concentrated milk, and getting milk in the first place is, itself, an intensive process.
I like the idea of vegan cheese but currently there is about a 25% price premium on it. I checked recently. I’m told its taste is okay but I had a vegan pizza recently which was awful.

Cheese is a food I can take in small doses because of the milk element but I do love the wide variety of cheeses and their names š

I find it odd how the coloring of foods can change your appetite in many ways. I like my Gouda, Edam and swiss cheese
but I don’t think I would enjoy blue cheese.

I get slices now, ‘cos I can’t cut the block, and yeah, Edam and Gouda are common. We don’t have Swiss cheese here but I’m guessing that’s more emmental. Cheese with air bubbles.
There’s obviously a limited choice with slices. The other cheeses I like, I doubt they’re known outside the uk.
