Feeling the Pace

Poor old Grandpa was feeling the squeeze,
Got kids’ suppers straight from the deep freeze,
When he got them to bed,
He was on his last legs,
He collapsed in the armchair and wheezed.

Divorced, grown/flown daughter. In life, I designed IT systems, taking a career break as a bicycle mechanic, until interrupted by a stroke in 2016, aged 48.
