Can you tell what the photo was, originally? You might get it. I can just about see the resemblance.

  1. Nice! 💕 Those are the proper English bluebell variety, and they’re becoming quite rare as the Spanish variety are cross-breeding with ours, making a hybrid. The English ones bloom on only one side of the stem, and droop. The Spanish ones bloom on all sides of the stem and remain upright.

      1. We have a choice of bluebell woods around here, although I haven’t visited any since the stroke. There was one over by Shaftesbury which we liked. This one was called Garston Wood, a small RSPB reerve not far out of Salisbury. Plenty of bluebells and wild garlic. Regardless of looks, the place smelled incredible!
