When king fancied a little more spice,
Talked a baroness into his vice,
They enjoyed romp supreme,
With the queen in between,
And the king doing everything twice!

Who doesn’t enjoy a ribald limerick?

I try to come up with one every day, but have no set plan for content. Normally, the more gory, funny deaths I can jam in, the better.

Do you enjoy the art and poetry of Edward Gorey?

I don’t know him, tbh. I spent my whole life reading pretty voraciously, but non-fiction rather than fiction. Now, my eyes are failing and I cannot deal with anything on paper. I can manage eBooks, if they are special enough, just because I can increase the font.
I can listen to audiobooks, of course, but I will not buy from Amazon, on principle, so my scope is very limited.
But I’ll see if I can see anything online. Do you recommend one in particular?

I think ‘The Doubtful Guest’ and ‘The Gashlycrumb Tinies’ are his two most popular. He often wrote in rhyming couplets, and his illustrations were gleefully macabre.
