Sometimes I wake up in the night, sometimes I even think of limericks, and once in a blue moon, I write them down.
A railwayman brought up in Staines,
From a boy dreamed of work on the trains,
Til the 3:48,
Running 10 minutes late,
Ensured lunch box is all that remains.

I see I am not the only one who wakes in the middle of the night. Nice limerick.

It’s easily the best time to create.

Most of my stories actually get written down at, like, 3 AM. I mean, there is lots of polishing which happens after that, at a decent hour, but nighttime is when they become tangible.

Good for you. My nights just feel like pain dragging on.

At least you wake up with a smile. A limerick a day keeps the doctor away.
