inspired by Fandango’s One Word Challenge (FOWC) of 11 August 2021, fallible.
Were already set on rocky course,
They we fought, and she halted discourse,
My perveived fallibility,
Just increased her hostility,
And today she just filed for divorce.
That’s not true, by the way. But… ask me again tomorrow 🤣.

nice one, Pete – what inspired the subject?

Fandango posted an image on a wildfire the other day for a prompt. It was a bit too tender to write on that subject, but I thought perhaps a numourous one just generally on global warming might be appropriate. Readers are savvy enough to put 2 + 2 together,

Good one! I realized as I hummed to myself while making my son’s bed tonight, that the song “it’s raining, it’s pouring” is a limerick! What a funny epiphany to have in your 40s.

Haha, you say that, but I had not even thought of that song in many years!
So there is maybe one benefit of having children. I’m struggling to think of a second!

Well actually, I don’t think I was thinking of that song. I was trying to put words to that tune without actually thinking about what the tune was. And, as I came to the second short line, it suddenly struck me what the rhyming pattern was.

Great rhyming, Pete! Forget those divorce papers, love is far more precious!

Deliberate typo? (If so: clever! If not… umm… lol)

entirely accidental I’m afraid. No cleverness here.
