When my eyesight was still good, I was a bit of an amateur photographer. This is one of mine.

I used to love going to reenactments, I was guaranteed to get decent photos. These are French Napoleonic troops, dated around 1800.

    1. No. I think it was all pretty local. This one was at Broadlands down in Romsey, which is only probably 20 miles away. I remember the guy last week was in Lacock, n Wilts. But they dried up while I still photographed, event insurance became prohibitive. Doesn’t surprise me that this happens everywhere.

        1. Somebody told me about a society where the legal defaults are all reversed. I forget where, but it sounded fascinating.
          i.e. yopu fall down a hole in the pavement, the legal position is “why the f didn’t you have the sense to walk around it?” I suspect that stance probably has implications, but it feels attractive.
