inspired by Fandango’s One Word Challenge (FOWC) of 4 March 2021, confer.
A new restaurant, across from the store,
Booked a table, but service was poor,
We were forced to confer,
And my missus concurred,
So we gave up and dined out next door.

The Lord of Limericks strikes again! 😂

I’m imagining Peter Sellers’ voice as I read!

A very funny man (both of you).

Are you just teasing us all with this idea of eating out? Don’t think I’ll be able to contain the glee when someone serves me a lovely dish and glass of wine……big tease.

What is your favourite wine?

The burgundy in your garage 😉 I like red wine best, pinot noir, cab. sauv, shiraz, in those lines. Not sweet, not too dry. I drink some white in the spring and summer. Fizzy and fun.

Your tastes are similar to my own. I only really know French wine but would generally sooner have a Burgumdy than a Champagne (though I won’t say no).
Mrs Bump does not generally like red, which was always limiting when we went out for a meal – I tended to drink a lot!
These days I only drink wine with food and a bottle will last 3 or 4 sittings. Only a few times per year. It is full of sugar – I have to worry about this crap now.

I like the organic wines more and more, and I believe they have less sugar. Paul Mas is a French wine I tend to buy. I’m usually sipping alone here as well.

Yeah, who’s thread are we on, anyways? I am an upstanding educator and rarely, if ever, imbibe. 😉

Brilliant!! As a chef, I found this one hilarious. Especially knowing a lot of restaurants suffer for the very same reasons.
