My girlfriend was one of the gentry,
Met her family, they quizzed rudimentary,
Her mum let out a shriek,
And said I was unique,
Which I’m not sure was meant complimentary.

Everyone’s nightmare when first meeting the parents. Alas something I never have to face being eternally single lol. Another great limerick well done.

I’ve been told that by several prospective mum-in-laws. Fortunately the one who actually became mum-in-law just thinks it 🤣
