When we first set up home, I got fright,
My new wife’s cuisine not quite right,
To boost spongecake insipid,
We used Fairy Liquid,
Which at least left it airy and light.

Its key selling points were (i) it lasted a lot longer and (ii) it was kind to your hands. I’m not sure if either of those was true because it was also (iii) 2x the price of anything else, so we never used it.We’ve probably used it as grown-ups, but not really something I took much notice of.
