As a boy I went hunting for treasure,
The dog saved me digging alone,
We both dug with vigour,
The hole became bigger,
But all that we found was a bone.

Oh yes! Great Limerick. We’ve all been there. My granddad used to like metal detecting. He’d find all kinds of stuff he call ‘leverites’ they’d be bones, nails, bits of wire, cans and junk. He’d call them ‘leverites’ as in ‘leave-her-right there’ lol

I got a metal detector once from Lidl. Used it exclusivelt to try to find nuts and bolts I’d dropped!

If the dog helps, it is either a bone or a mouse waiting for you at the end. 🙂
