Before we leave the house these days,
We have the same refrain,
The thing we want to know is just,
Is it really going to rain?
When venturing outside our door,
Before we take a ramble,
Will we stay dry or will we get wet?
We have to take that gamble.
Must go out to the postbox,
A healthy walk away,
Before I leave, will I stay dry?
Or will I get washed away?
I have a foolproof plan, you know,
I’d share it if I could,
But alas there are no other heads
Can fit inside my hood.
If I have luck, I’ll get out there
and back before you blink,
Otherwise I have a fear
That all my clothes will shrink!
Title and opening had me going another way. Leaving the house, did I really turn off the clothes dryer? Good write, really liked the rhy rith rethym rythym beat.
