Funnily enough I was chatting to one of my arthritic clients this week, who was telling me that because she has trouble pulling plugs out of their sockets, she often uses a metal knife as a lever ⚡️⚡️⚡️. I urged her not to do that any more. Instead I said I was sure I’d seen something on the net, while looking for aids for myself.

These things are called Plug Tugs, available off Amazon. I’m not normally an advocate of Amazon, because they don’t pay their taxes, but maybe just this once? I haven’t looked, but these guys would be crazy not to make these things for US or European plugs, if you have trouble too.
The next problem is that the client does not use the internet…
for Fandango’s One Word Challenge, gadget.
Incidentally, if anybody knows of a vice/vise, ideally plastic, suitable for use in the kitchen, I’m all ears.
I went to Amazon and searched “plastic vise” and a few items showed up, but I’m not sure they’d be suitable because I don’t know what you want to use them for.

I did have one, called a Swedish Food Preparation Board. It was $50 for a 50c piece of kit. Just want it for putting e.g. a jar into, to stop it moving about while I open it with the good hand. Another favourite use with the old one was (it died) to hold the tub of spead while I got some onto the knife.
