So, in common with the rest of the UK, I look outside and see whiteness. We have only had about an inch so far, although the big fall is expected today. The hens haven’t seen snow before, they don’t like it and have gone back to bed.

Day 2. About 6\”. Two of the hens just stayed in the coop, where we gave them fresh food and wter. The other two came to the back door. We let them in the house to get warm – they promptly shat on the carpet.

Lunchtime, and snow is falling. Nothing spectacular, no blizzards, but equally it is just piling on the snow we've already had
