Those splinters can be deadly! 🙄

😂😂 I wouldn’t feel safe after a splinter. I’ve only had them in my fingers and thumbs though thankfully.

Apparently Nelson’s eye was taken out by a splinter caused by a shell hitting a nearby mast. Nasty, eh?

Splinters are the worst! They’re so small but the pain and annoyance they bring is gigantic in comparison. Nothing is as bad as taking out cactus spikes though.

It’s crazy that something so small can hurt so darn bad!

Apparently a splinter from a cannonball (presumably hitting a nearby mast) was enough to take Nelson’s eye out in real life.
I’m only a few miles away from the big, stately home he was awarded after one of his battles. Last I heard it was used for weddings these days.
