Inspired by Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (FOWC) of 15 September 2023, slogan.
Well, today I was caught on the hop,
I’d slept in again, life’s just nonstop,
A quick shower, shite and shave,
And then breakfast I made,
With that comforting snap, crackle, pop!

Hahaha!! The old KISS philosophy sometimes works the best. Hi Pete!

Good, Pete! Thanks! Busy week; looking forward to a quiet weekend.

Nice onomatopoeia and alliteration 😊If I had to choose one poem I read this week which represents my life at the moment the best, it would be this one (minus the shave though).

Really? I don’t touch cereal, especially Kellogs. It’s got far too much sugar for my liking. All the nonsense that it’s healthy is an advertising myth.

I did mean more the accidentally sleeping in and feeling overwhelmed part. I do eat Shreddies though, it’s got a lot of fibre in it. With oat milk though as I don’t drink dairy milk.

Oh, man, I absolutely love working from home. I converted a bedroom into an office, and I’m just straight there. The only thing is, it’s too near the kitchen!

I loved Rice Krispies as a child! My mom used to make Rice Krispie treats from the recipe on the cereal box 😁

Oh gosh yes, I remember those. And you’d beg your mum to buy whatever cereal had the best toy in it, then you’d opeb the box til you found the toy, then not bother with the cereal cos it was one you never liked anyway! Or was that all just me?

We loved most cereals growing up because of the sugar 😂
I couldn’t eat cereal if fingers had been dug around looking for the toy
My mom was just happy if we ate any breakfast at all 😁

Ha! I can’t remember what I had. Oh yes, I absolutely loved Sugar Puffs. You have them there? I still liked them as an adult – comfort food. I saw you could buy honey-free ones, but it’s not the same.

Honey Combs may be the equivalent which are good but I can’t have milk now so I’ve given up on cereal 😭

I used to drink soya milk but haven’t bought any for ages. Like, months. I’ve taken to drinking coffee from pods, rather than tea, and they just come as a “latte”. I haven’t had cereal for years.

My coffee is from pods too. I am trying almond creamer and hope eventually to drink coffee black w a little sugar

I guess it’s different for you, as most of the world’s almonds come from Ca. I’ve never tried almond milk for that reason. But then, soya milk is only marginally getter in terms of the distance it travels. I suppose for me, oat milk would be the least carbon intensive. That tastes very like coffee creamer.

Ha ha Pete! I’ve had mornings like that, where I’m like a headless chicken, trying to get going, running around so much that I keep dropping shit!
