y. I know it around there, though I’ve not been for 15 years. Limerick is a strange place, Very like the UK, but stepping back in time 50 years. But that has plusses and minusses. I saw the prison there (from the outside!) and imagine that’s what a Victorian prison would have looked like. The countryside there was amazing, though, and I loved the Shannon.

first time you go somewhere, I think you have to do that, just so you can identify the places to visit next time. I must admit the only places in Ireland where I was left with negative impressions were the big cities, Dub Cork and Belfast. In those cities you could have been anywhere.

Saw an article in some science feed (where all the foolish endeavors of scientific minds are paraded) where a huge sigh of relief came from mathematicians recently that the have successfully calculated pi to a trillion decimal places. Okay, I gotta ask, can you tell my why anyone would consider that an accomplishment? [Chuckle.]

There seems to be nothing to be gained from it. In real life it’s not even a number we come across, I don’t think. But, you know, people like doing things for the sake of it.
