Working from Home

I posted the other week about the pros and cons of working from home. Here’s another pro. This was a quarter-to-six yesterday evening.

Divorced, grown/flown daughter. In life, I designed IT systems, taking a career break as a bicycle mechanic, until interrupted by a stroke in 2016, aged 48. As I convalesced, I combined the development of health-related apps with voluntary work, and began writing. After a stint working again in IT, I now write full-time, and use my blog space to let my hair down.

    • It is a quartwe mile from home. Being remote can sometimes be tough – I am stranded here today – but especially with the rise of mail-order and online groceries, most things are possible.
      But the UK is so cramped. That photo hides a 1,000-pupil school in the distance *but of course it would have been empty at that time of day), plus a busy highway which although not seen, is often heard. The one thing you have there is space.
