it was okay. Just adminny things. The HR person hinted that they were looking for a senior technical person, which is the role I used to do. I can’t help thinking I applied for the wrong job! But the company seem okay. They are more and more seeming to me like a consultancy, but as long as I’m working from home, I don’t care. I need to stick it for a year and then decide whether it is long term or not.

That’s sound promising, and giving it a year seems reasonable. I’ve never known HR to drop a hint and expect someone to not listen. I hope the day wasn’t too tiring.

I was tired by about 4 o’clock but I only got a 20-minute lunch. I was fine by 5:30 because I was straight into the lounge.

I feel myself growuing into this role already, When I started looking, it was a case of “let’s just get back into work”, but I know I can handle that now, and I’m thinking more about the level of interest that the job will provide. One of the reasons I went up to the City in the first place was because the work was that much more challenging, and I might well end up thinking the same now.

Yes it was. Day #3 I got the feeling that the new boss was uncomfortable with my disability, though, so until I prove myself this is going to be swings and roundabouts.

Feeling good so far. I am working from home; itr is nice to be able to walk just 10 feet frommy office to the lounge.

Thanks Charmer, it’s going okay but I’ve had to replace a few things so I’m not really seeing any benefit yet.
