Haunted Forest, all knew it was cursed,
Strong young bravehearts had come to their worst,
So when one bright spark, who,
Urged us all to march through,
I just downtoolsed and said, “you go first”

There is a verb to downtools – to go on strike – so presumably this is past tense.

This reminds me those funny little made up book titles we’d hear as kids like “Walking the Plank” by Hugo Furst or “The Tiger’s Revenge” by Claude Bawles. 🤣
