A drunken man looking the worse for wear!

Inspired by Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (FOWC) of 5 January 2023, exactly.

I got drunk last night, now feeling vile,
Took some aspirin, they’ll work in a while,
Told my wife, “I’ve been thinking,
I have got to stop drinking”,
In response, she just gave a wry smile.
