B and C are the wrong century. So it’s A or D . I don’t know diddly about Reynolds, and I don’t know about Omai, so I’m going with A, which is most probably completely wrong. 😂

It was indeed Reynolds. I knew he went out there at the very end of his life – literally the last year. And, of course, people didn’t usually travel back then.

No. Makes you realise there’s always two questions going on. There’s the one they ask, plus “How confident am I?” I doubt maye people would be confident of that. I wouldn’t be, although as it happened I knew the right answed. But no way would I gamble at that level.

I’d did a process of elimination like Misky and was going to go with A) Reynolds but that’s a moot point now that the answer has been revealed. Guess you’re just going to take my word for it; besides, it was a 50/50 guess. 🤷🏼♀️

I absolutely take your word for it. I know Reynolds ended up sailing to Polynesia, and dying there. So for me, it was a guess that he actually painted this. I never heard of the painting.

Good guess then! I never heard of the painting either and knew little bits of info about the other three artists. Because of that I went with Reynolds. Tough question though; if Andy Warhol and LeRoy Neiman were two of the choices it would have been a whole lot easier 🤣

It was Reynolds. I suppose unless you knew the painting (I didn’t) you’d just have to know that Reynolds ended up in Polynesia.
