Peder knew this one. He claims it’s called Appenzeller, whereas Appenzell is a city/region. News to me – I just know that I like it.

Actually it has struck me how (generally) well-written the questions were. They leave no room for doubt. I’d never really noticed that before.

There’d be an uproar and viewer complaints if the questions were ambiguous. Peder and I were saying last time we watched this show that Clarkson is doing a pretty good job.

I knew the mini started off as a French thing, but didn’t have any names. If someone had asked me “who invented the mini?” I’d have probably said “Mary Quant” out of desparation.

I know a Frenchman invented the bikini, named after Bikini Island where nuclear bombs were tested, but a bikini isn’t a mini skirt. I’m not sure I’d guess on an answer if I wasn’t at least 50:50 sure I was right. Not where large sums of money are involved. I’d pocket what I had already.
