Well, I woke from my afternoon nap and,
Filled the kettle up straight from the tap and,
Settling on the setee,
I turned on “News at Three”,
But the newsreader said “Nothing Happened”.
Wishful thinking, eh?

Ha! This is cool! For some reason the rhyme and rhythm remind me of a rap song. Maybe it’s because i just listened to a SLAM poet.

Not at all! This SLAM poet was another interview on that OIO podcast. Pretty cool. He won an Australian Slam Poetry comp when he was 12.

I used to do a weekly post, just on some news item I chose, but I stopped doing it when Russia went into Ukraine because people were showing definite fatigue with the news. But I liked that post and want to revive it at some point.

Would you believe, when I was young, I fancied Sussex. It was basically to get as far from Liverpool as possible.

You don’t know what you’re missing. The South of England Show is this weekend in Ardingly, just down the B-road from us. Farmers, livestock, produce, horses, scurry driving (shrug, don’t know), and lawnmower racing, and hunt relays (is that legal?). I think it’s fair to state this isn’t Liverpool. 😂
