Happy Mothers’ Day, to those who are celebrating today.
I won’t say my mum’s cooking was bad,
But on Sundays when I was a lad,
She cooked bone-dry roast meat,
Gravy set like concrete,
I turned veggie but pitied my dad.

My mum had limited skill in the kitchen. She cooked the same meal for each weeknight, Monday was always liver. I hated Mondays

We were the same. Spooky, huh? Mondays was usually chicken and chips. Basically, we normally had a roast on Sunday, and Monday was leftovers.
