I’ve been sharing my own photos now for eighteen months so I thought the end of the year was a good time to call it a day.
If you wish, you can find the published photos by following the tag “LifeLens” on the main page of my site, or by hitting this link.
I thought I’d just round off the series by re-presenting a handful of my favourites.

That’s a red deer, one of the UK’s largest wild mammals. Among pretty tall bushes, I couldn’t believe I stumbled into this clearing, and there he was. With hindsight, I should have concentrated on just getting out of there without spooking him, but what a shot!
Or, as David might say, Horny, or: just plain tired?
probably just tired…
doesn’t “randy” mean “horny”, Pete? 😀 (that’s what I learned from Austin Powers!)

Tis’ a beautiful shot of a gorgeous animal. He does look a bit perturbed at being sighted. Beautiful!

Thought he was crying over his heavy antlers. A sort of headache moan, no? Stunning photo.

Amazing pic – such a difficult animal to snap so it’s a credit to your skill that you captured him!
Can’t quite make out how many points he has but I’d say he’s a royal maybe? Either way, he’s magnificent 👍🖤

They were only semi wild. I’d never have been able to creep up on him otherwise.
We do have a wild herd of red down here in the New Forest, but they’re elusive; they’d never let me get that close. The forest warders have made feeding stations so e.g. fallow and sika are more visible. They even built viewing platforms. But not the reds.

Ah ok. That explains it a wee bit 😊
Either way it’s still a cracking photo! 👍🖤
