Reblog: New Music Monday #8

I like KK’s spiel here.

I think that the biggest reason that people don’t engage (anything) is because they feel that there’s nothing they can do to make a difference. It’s not because they aren’t interested. Most of the people I meet are very interested.

I don’t think politicians, of any side, do themselves any favours in that respect.

I though the music of KK’s choice today is okay but the lyrics are spot on.

Songshine Sounds

This week’s new track, “Change” was written and performed by American singer and songwriter Gabriella Sarmiento Wilson, known professionally as H.E.R., an acronym for Having Everything Revealed. In 2021, H.E.R. was awarded the Grammy Award for Song of the Year for “I Can’t Breathe”, released in response to the murder of George Floyd by police officer Derek Chauvin.
