Been out walking these last few days, because the weather has been beautiful and sunny. Yesterday I walked a mile and a half – doesn’t sound much but remember I can’t walk. Today was not as far, but I did at least shoot off a few snaps along the way. Some of the photos, it was too sunny, really, but I have tried a little to clean them up. My ankle felt sore both days, I think because of how little I’ve walked during the last year.
Mister Bump 
Glad you were able to get out and about. Every little bit helps, and keeps those muscles from shriveling up. I’ve been working on clean up after some broken water pipes – using muscles I haven’t used in a long time…achy, achy back today. Can guess how your ankle feels. Like the pictures too – would very much like to come back to the UK and wander around the country side. All I’ve seen so far is London.

Mrs B is home on Mondays so it’s quite difficult to do stuff. Besides, I finished writing my current app last week so wanted to take a few days to clear it out of my head before I start testing it. Ideally, it’d be a different person but I don’t have that luxury. Otherwise, I end up testing the bits I know work, so a waste of time. I should probably try to get out every day but it competes with the development so I mostly let it slide.

I’m guessing from your post yesterday that you were originally from Cumbria? It’s very different down here (I know both). I’d describe it as “gentler” here, does that make sense?

Born in Liverpool, but we holidayed up there a bit when I was early teens. Around Brampton. I’ve fone back there with wife, as a grown up – she was absolutely blown away by Hadrian’s Wall.

Nope, we never made it there. I remember we visited Haltwhistle and Hexham, and I think Kielder Water had just been constructed. We went to an animal sanctuary down by Penrith but I don’t recognise Talkin.
You just reminded me it is my anniversary next week, by the way! Phew

It was definitely there then but maybe it’s only popular with locals: they all walk their dogs there!

Thanks Sanjeet, yes it is certainly calm, but every inch of the UK is farmed almost. They had cows in this field a few weeks ago – it in an enormous field and backs onto our house. I enjoy having cows for neighbours.
