What Have I Done This Time?

When I first glanced at today’s FOWC prompt, I misread it, so double punishment today!

Not long married, my wife had let fly,
In my bath I just sat petrified,
She looked ever so smug,
as she pulled out the plug,
Leaving me and my duck high and dry.
