Yay, it is Friday again, and Fandango has just published his Flashback Friday post. The idea is that he picks a post from this day in a previous year, to give newer readers a better insight into what makes him tick.
I have always liked that idea, so shall also post my own reminiscence. As much as anything, it reminds me of where I was, where I am now, and how far I have come. Hopefully, you will find it entertaining along the way.
Oh, and thank you to Jennifer at Paperkutzs for allowing me to use her image.
It’s funny that Fandango’s Flashback post is on the subject of being dry, because looking through my own posts, I couldn’t find anything remotely sharable from this day in history.
But to save you going away empty-handed, I did post this short piece of classical music, by Malcolm Arnold, a year and a day ago. He was heavily into writing film scores (he wrote the score for the Oscar-winning Bridge on the River Kwai), and you can hear this in the music – it’s very reminiscent of a British movie of the Fifties or Sixties. I studied music as a schoolboy and this is one that stuck with me ever since.
