A couple of good comments whenever I presented “unplugged” music got me thinking about posting some more.
Do you remember this one by The Cure? It was covered by somebody called Phoebe Bridgers. It’s mostly just her voice and a one-fingered piano accompaniment, but I liked this more than I ever liked the original.
Very nice! Haunting but not sad. π

That was on one of those playlists! It just said it was recorded in the “Spotify Studio” so I didn’t think I’d find it on YouTube, but there it was.

I’ve found someone named Duffy singing Warwick Avenue, and I’m floored I actually love Whataya Want from Me by Adam Lambert because I’ve never been a fan. Unplugged is pretty cool! π

I have always loved the original but this one’s ethereal!

You see how kind us oldies are? To produce all this great music which is just “there”. I had to wait around for someone to write this π€£π€£π€£

I’ve always liked the song by the Cure, and this one is so much different. Really nice! π

Yours is the second blog I’ve encountered today that had a Phoebe Bridgers song. Cathy Kennedy used her as one of the contestants in a Battle of the Bands: https://curiousasacathy.com/summers-end-botb-showdown-with-some-ticklemetuesdays-giggles/

I must admit this is the only one of hers I ever heard. I listened to an “unplugged” playlist of Spotify, this one came on and I thought it’d be a good share. I like that about Spotify – it’ll just end up playing new stuff which is the same kind of thing I asked for.
