Inspired by Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (FOWC) of 18 April 2024, ruthless.
Our dear old friend Ruth took a break,
But for Scotland, she started to ache,
After far too much sun,
Complained, “Where’s the rain gone?
This vacation has been a mistake!”
Playing with clichés here; in real life, Scotland is beautiful.

It is very wet though 😉🖤

Yeah, it’s mixed I suppose. Cities and countryside. The ‘people density’ is low so there’s an impression of more space. I suppose it’s like anywhere -great as long as you can afford to enjoy it.

Actually, it is funny. Here, one can no longer buy offal. Not is supermarkets, anyway.

Also in Italy the sale of offal was prohibited for a certain period, but now they can be found not only at the most specialized butchers’ but often also in supermarkets

Yes, in butchers here also. I remember as a boy, my mother tried to make me eat heart (ox). I grew suspicious when she would not tell me what it was!
But steak and kidney was probably the most common pie here, and we never see that any more. I suppose liver is still possible, but not common. Lambs’, pigs’ but not calves’.

I grew up eating also liver, kidney and heart, and I confess that I really liked the way my mother cooked them for me.👍
