A drunken man looking the worse for wear!

Inspired by Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (FOWC) of 29 April 2023, vicinity.

When the town’s pub was burgled, they smeared,
Much maligned, I was forced to be clear,
Though the police found me trashed,
And though totally smashed,
On that evening I was nowhere near.

Divorced, grown/flown daughter. In life, I designed IT systems, taking a career break as a bicycle mechanic, until interrupted by a stroke in 2016, aged 48.
