I’ve been sharing my own photos now for eighteen months so I thought the end of the year was a good time to call it a day.

I thought I’d just round off the series by re-presenting a handful of my favourites.
There’s the weathered aspect here – I love photographing rust, but also that contrast between man-made and natural. There is a group on Flickr devoted to this whole subject; it’s a popular theme for a photograph.

Even the strongest of things weaken in time. Rust reminds us of that.

Chains are tough, but if left out in the rain, we’ll, I too am fascinated by rust. I took a pic of a rusty bridge cycling last week. It’s my banner for fbook now.

It’s very popular. But a lot of photography is just honing in on detail which people otherwise miss. So many of my best shots are close-ups.
