I’ve been sharing my own photos now for eighteen months so I thought the end of the year was a good time to call it a day.
If you wish, you can find the published photos by following the tag “LifeLens” on the main page of my site, or by hitting this link.
I thought I’d just round off the series by re-presenting a handful of my favourites.
We sat down in a field on Brownsea Island in Dorset. This cheeky chappie was so inquisitive, he came straight up to us, and was only about two inches from the lens when I managed to get this shot. I just loved that I managed to capture such a close, crisp image.
Bird’s eye!

I suspect he was used to people, to come this close. But yeah, isn’t he a beauty?

Not one to be messed with. Hails from Australia. Or probably anywhere he/she damned-well pleases.

Ah, okay. I thought I recognised the name but didn’t know. I should’ve looked it up but it was badtime when I saw your comment so I took the lazy way out. Yes I think peacocks can be quite feisty, but just in a pecky sort of way. This guy was on an island, with touristvisitors, and I guesshe knew that visitors bring food. Peacocks are, what, 10-20 lbs maybe? Pure guess. That kinda size.

Well aware of peacock and peahens. Some farms especially those not heavily into commercial ventures have a few on hand. Casswaries on the other hand have killed people, even their owners. The boogers can weigh 50 Kg – that suggests if one is having a bad day, best leave it alone!
